We priced the brick semi honestly, prepared it for the right buyers, and kept the process calm through twelve offers.

Neighbourhood guide

The east end, in three useful views.

Blue front door in Leslieville

Street life

Queen East has the daily rhythm: cafés, schools, dogs, and a front step that becomes part of your week.

Boardwalk leading to Lake Ontario

Room to breathe

The Beaches trades a little commute for lake air, long walks, and quieter mornings.

Lake Ontario shoreline below the Scarborough Bluffs

The wider horizon

By the Bluffs, the light changes. It is worth seeing the street at dusk before you decide.

Leslieville to the Bluffs, and everything between

The east end, one front door at a time.

I'm Maya Okafor. I sell houses in Leslieville, the Beaches, Riverdale, the Danforth, East York and out to the Scarborough Bluffs — brick semis, crooked Victorians, bungalows with good bones. One client at a time, and I answer my own phone.

That's my actual SOLD-rider handwriting. Sorry.

Stats tell you what a house costs. These are the things that tell you what a street feels like.

Queen East, Saturday

Strollers and greyhounds share the sidewalk. The bakery line is out the door by nine, and every second person I pass has bought or sold with someone I know.

A Leslieville door I'd know anywhere

The Danforth, August

The whole street smells like charcoal and oregano. If your kitchen window faces south, you'll hear the festival before you see it. Most people decide that's a feature.

Okay, this one is the Beaches. Forgive me.

The Bluffs, dusk

On still evenings the cliff face goes pink for about four minutes. Buyers from out west don't believe me until they see it from their own driveway.

Maya Okafor, Sales Representative.

Eleven years selling east of the Don, all of them on foot, by bike, or on the 506. I don't have a team, an assistant, or a billboard. I have a milk crate on my bike, a desk-for-rent above a Leslieville café, and a phone that rings me directly.

  • I tell you what your place is worth, not what you want to hear.
  • Offer nights, pre-inspections and staging are handled with you at the table.
  • If I don't know a street, I say so and we walk it together.

I live in Riverdale, within earshot of the Withrow Park off-leash debate, and I plan to die arguing about whether the Beaches has an 's'.

"She talked us out of a house we loved, because the foundation scared her. Then she found us a better one two streets over."— Ade, East York

Looks good! This is a preview, so nothing was sent anywhere. On a real site, Maya would have this in her inbox.
